The client has been one of the major users of SAP ByDesign solution, the cloud based, subscription ERP solution for small and medium enterprises. The client wanted to implement industry specific and company specific validation rules and automations. However, being a public cloud solution, the scope of enhancements was limited and the user productivity was hampered.

Need to enhance the usability of SAP ByD solution
Solution
CEGB, with its partners, analyzed and prioritized the critical client needs and the enhancement restrictions of the standard SAP ByD product (PSM release). Using innovative ideas and really out-of-box thinking , CEGB team achieved what was termed as “infeasible” by the other vendors.
The enhanced solution involves:
- Extension of the standard screens with the optimal information sourced from various apps – avoiding multiple screen switches and improving productivity
- Restriction on the usage of organization units based on custom rules; helps in reorganization
- Extension of Adobe outputs with additional data sourced from secondary applications
- Creation of analytical reports with standard and custom data sources
- Creation of additional workcenters and views to define custom rules
